We live in Savannah, and while we may be in the Fall-State-of-Mind, it’s still so hot! Well, we’re here to help. We’re going to talk about 3 plants that can bring those gorgeous fall colors into our lives while beating the Savannah heat. 1. Croton

This striking foliage plant brings fabulous fall color. Croton is a tropical plant that can live outdoors in areas such as the Caribbean. While the plant can survive outdoors throughout most of the year here in Savannah, it does have to be taken inside if the temperature drops lower than 32F. With Croton, you have a beautiful green background on the leaf. This can be splattered with those warm autumn colors like red, yellow, and orange, even pink and purple. Crotons prefer bright light or full sun, humidity, and a well-draining soil. They do not like wet feet! This plant makes the perfect addition to your garden, home, or business and will give you fall color while beating the heat.
